Anyone have mich experiance with them? I have a zmodo one, works great but is there any software to run on a computer to act as a dvr? The software from zmodo doesn't really do it. I've found a couple but I'm just curious of anyone had experience with any.

My daughter just put a guy away for two years with their system....kind of a cheapo.

I could monitor cameras online w/W7. They are closing / selling the store.

So what is a dvr? I am not sure if it was connected with alarm system or not...thinking not.

If you really want to know the set-up I'll have her email you......

Thanks,

Jeff

While building my house I had them run the lines for an 8 camera HD DVR system. I still need to tweak it a little... One line was a bit short so I have an extension on the way. It is a hard wired system but the whole thing can be hooked up to the Internet so I can look at what is going on at any time.

I am still learning the system. I also have an IP camera somewhere in the basement that I bought to keep an eye on the neighbors hellions that were tearing up the neighbor hood several years ago... But they ended up moving before I installed it. It tested out great though.

Being out in the sticks I wanted something to keep an eye on things. The DVR will eventually go into my Safe Room/Armory. If they can get past 3/4" steel... They may have the DVR and contents!

But im only finding software to work with a dvr for a security system, i dont have one for the cam, it just streams over wifi... im suprised im not doing to good finding a software to act as a dcrllvr with the signal

I would think you should be able to find software and use your PC as the DVR...

I install, manage and engineer systems with Panasonic. From $10k - $500,000+ security systems.... Ones that you'd see at the casino.... All IP

My main system at my company HQ that I installed and programmed 100% is worth over $350k and I also have one set up at my house built on a budget high end system with Panasonic which is about $10k

All Panasonic. (Of course right)

Sannce 960 dvr w/two terabyte hard drive. So that looping does not wipe previous footage. 8 cameras.....some inside some outside (weatherproof)...ir capable.

Internet view through xmi.net.

Not connected to alarm system.

FWIW. (that's all we know)
