I only had one of the 2.0GHz models. Most of the parts I have is the single core one's (MK1 and MK2) but the screens are busted. I won these but when I got them they were mk1's and mk2's but the auction said they were mk3 1.6 duo but with busted screen. I was not happy at all but he refunded me ALL my money plus said to keep the 51's. It worked out good because most of the parts fit all the mk's. :D . PM me your address and will check to see what it will cost to ship overseas to you.

Is everyone's Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 keys working?

I have a CF-51RCLDFBM, MK3LL. Everything works except the Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 keys.
Pressing them displays a graphical bar chart on the screen for volume going up/down but the actual sound is uneffected.
SD is listed in Device Manager but I haven't tried it yet.

I understand there are three steps:

1) Install latest motherboard chipset drivers.
I did this. Well, Intel's site said my drivers were outdated. So, I updated.
I don't know if I have the latest drivers because I read that someone did this but found that Intel's site directed him to the WRONG drivers. Or, maybe it listed the wrong drivers but downloaded the correct ones to him.

2) Install as Administrator the XP Hotkey files (3-files) from Panasonic for CF-51 in the correct order.
The correct order is Appendix, Settings, Drivers.

3) Install as Administrator the XP Sound Driver from Panasonic for CF-51 or some driver from SigmaTel. I forget which is the correct choice.
I think I installed the XP Sound Driver first because it listed the sound card/chip as something other than SigmaTel.
I realized I installed the Hotkey files in the wrong order. So, I reinstalled the Hotkey files in the correct order.
One file automatically uninstalled the previous installation before allowing me to reinstall.
One or two files required a reboot after installation.
I reinstalled the SigmaTel sound driver.
Sound is listed as SigmaTel in Device Manager.

NOTE: I found a CF-52 Win7 32-bit sound driver on a Panasonic Japan site.
Could this be of use?

I read somewhere that someone downloaded the W8 Win7 32-bit drivers.
It's a huge file of numerous executeables. He extracted only the ones he thought he needed ... Hotkeys, Sound and perhaps others. I think he was the one who used the Sigmatel sound file.

Can someone stipulate to what is actually needed and the order of installation or otherwise repudiate the various drivers and methods I've listed.
==========================================================================================================================
We could keep a list at the beginning of this thread of CF-51 model, BIOS, Motherboard chipset driver version, which 3 hotkey files, install order of hotkey files and which sound driver file was used.

Does the BIOS have to be the latest? The only update I found for RCLDFBM was to fix pix, whatever that is.

Do the motherboard chipset drivers have to be updated?
I suppose so but every case I've read has either had the latest or Intel's site mixed it up and they had to manually search for the latest and manually install to be sure. What's the latest for the various CF-51 variants?

Some say they use all XP files.
Others say they use all Vista files.
Others say they use the W8 Hotkeys files including the W8 sound file.
Others say they use the W8 Hotkeys files with the SigmaTel sound file.

Is the CF-52 Win7 32-bit sound driver on a Panasonic Japan site of any use?

That's the only thing I have found that does not work. Other than that W7 runs great on it.

The solution to this is simple: Use the CF-52 mk4s Windows 7 native hotkey applications and drivers. They actually install flawlessly.

Hope this helps some people, you can even do 64-bit Windows 7 this way. :)

Do the CF-52S/T MK4 Perf hotkey stuff for W7 32-bit SP1 not work?

On 32-bit windows 7, sure... 64-bit windows 7 will need the 64-bit drivers however.

Nope, I used those drivers on my Win7 64 bit with no problems.
CF-30KTPJQAM Mk3 1.6 GHz, 4GB, 500GB HDD 7200 RPM, 13.3 TS, Fingerprint, Gobi, Bluetooth, Intel A/B/G/N, DVD-RW, Win 7 x64.

12 CF-29's MK5, One CF-18 MK5, One CF-19 MK1, 4 CF-51's MK3, 7 CF-51 MK2, one CF-74 MK3, One CF-30 Mk 3 and one CF-52 MK2. Wait, is that all I have? MUST HAVE MORE!

Oh, ok. I stand corrected then. That's just not usually how it works.

What does "Perf" mean in "CF-52S/T MK4 Perf"?
Thanks
