Drivers For Engenius EMP-8602 Plus (400w) and EMP-8602+S

#1 Post by toughasnails »

Here is the link for the drivers for Engenius EMP-8602 Plus (400w) These are selling on ebay for under $20.00 . Not as strong as the EMP-8602+S (600w) but I find the card works very good for me.
This site is not Firefox friendly........

:lauging: :lauging: I know the feeling. It should install with no problems. I just pointed it to where I unzipped the drivers. When I took the Intel card out I did take the intel drivers/software out first , restarted, unzipped the engenius drivers/software,shut down, installed the card and restarted, pointed it to the drivers, installed it, restarted.....done. :) . I have installed 3 of the Plus and 5 +S and most of the time windows installed the drivers for me.

Just give me a call if you have a problem and I almost forgot Thank you very much for the cables.....the keyboard works GREAT on the 51 that has the bad keyboard connector.....sweet

Hey ya'll!
I just grabbed 2 of the 400mw off ebay, $22 each. Just poking around to see what's what.
I'm gonna uninstall drivers, shutdown, swap the cards, boot up, and install.

does the panny wireless switch utility have any issues with this card (or vise versa)?

I was trying to dl the drivers before I found this thread, and it says right on the site "not for laptops". I'm assuming this is just an asscovering statement?

and the card will run at full 400mw when not using the engenious software, right?

Merry Christmas & tia!

I have never had any issues with the engenius card. I have the 400mw and the 600mw card in my 29's. I only used there drivers for setting up the card. There has been a lot of talk on these cards about how or when they run at full speed. Toughbook (Rick) was wondering about this ...he always though they run at full speed all the time...I think. That is what I hate about NBR things get lost easy on there.

automatic when using the software, huh?

i wonder; is there a way one can measure a wifi signal without a $6k piece of test equipment? just for comparison (before/after, one software vs another)????this is now on my list of things to look out for!

That's what Rick was talking about, I will see if I can find it on NBR. I would start on page one and you might find your answer...maybe

that was the google result I had found that prompted me to think the thought I hadn't thought of that was the basis for a question who's answer I didn't know.
I think.
