CF-51 Mk3: Does it use a SATA drive?

Subject says it all. The Mk3 uses the 945 chipset, which I have always seen accompanied by a SATA drive in other (non-rugged) laptops.

Sorry about creating so many threads regarding the CF-51. I figured I should separate my questions by topic...

No SATA. The 51's came and went before the popularity of the SATA drives. The 52 has them.

On a related note... I purchased a caddy for a Mk3. It's my first ever purchase from Heartland! I wanted to provide the details for everyone's benefit:

CF-51PF2DEBM [the unit I ordered it for]

part no: DFWV99A0112
price: $59.36 plus shipping

This is the *entire* caddy kit, and an unbelievable price at that. The nice lady on the phone (I don't remember her name) told me that the other marks of CF-51 had caddies with a different part number.

Most likely you were talking to Kate Deveney, very helpfull. I have a MK1 and a MK3 (2) and at one time I only had one caddy and it worked in all three. :) Different part number but the same caddie
