Good price on a T7200 2.0 GHz CPU 4 MB 667 SL9SF . $52.00 shipped , he has at least 3 of them. As Alex said this one is the best bang for you buck because the T7600 2.33 GHz will cost you at least another $100.00

Cool....I would of but I have a spare now. On an other note watch out for this seller urbanflatsdpe. He has been selling 51 which are stripped (no cpu/cd/caddy) which he does say in his auction for about $35.00 shipped . He list them as a T2500 core duo but they are not (1.7) but also when he pulled the cpu out they did not screw down the heat sink causing the speaker cover/keyboard to not lay flat which caused the screen/lcd to break when they closed it. I bought 2 of them thinking I had all the parts on hand so I could end up with 2 goods ones. He did refund me the cost and told me to keep them so I am not out any money but just wanted to let you guys know about it.

have purchased some cf-29's from him and the KB cable cover was bent because they did not remove the hinge cover 2 screws and removed the KB. not a clean job but the parts gained have so far produced 2 good touchscreens and many other parts that were in good shape for me to spruce up some of my higher end cf-29's. looked at the cf-51's he had on fleabay and could tell they were stripped but good and didn't feel like it was worth it even though the price looked good. got lucky on that one.....Driller

Installed the T7200, no issues, things seem to be running smoothly and briskly.

What program do you guys recommend to monitor the CPU temp? What program(s) to exercise the CPU and test its performance?

tried the T7500 in cf-51 core duo again with 800FSB Crucial CT25664AC800 on 3 different machines of the core duo persuasion 2 with 256 mb video ram and 1 a RC4KFBM model video ram N/A. It doesn't boot to bios, even let it sit for about a minute but still, no worky. I think the issue here is the 945gm or pm chipset as this works on a gatewayy with the 965gme chipset, which was originally a 667FSB. I tried but I couldn't do it I tried but............Driller

I still think there is a trick for the T7500 pathway for the cf-51 but as a friend said, it's in the motherboard. I don't have enough toys and tech savy to swap out chipsets or figure if it can be done here. This is a job for super-Mnemeneth!! I like what you put into the cf-51 for your daughter. I'm sure she's excited. Hope you and yours had a good Christmas and they're lucky their dad can do these things with the toughbooks. I've got most of mine upgraded and am replacing the hdd to the 160GB like you did. A good bang for the buck. There might be some different versions of the T7500 out there that will allow use of 800FSB cpu's. Happy New Year as well.........Driller
