readyboost

#1 Post by denrosten »

Hey all,

For those still working with XP machines, and willing to boost up the cache.
I use eboostr, see http://www.eboostr.com/
I use a part of the installed 2 gig ram for the program, and it made XP rocking :headbang:

It works with an usb stick or SD card to, but it is much faster to use internal memory (if you have 2 gig, XP uses max 1.5)

You can use the trial to see if it works for you.

I have a Class 10 8GB SDHC Flash Drive, I intend to parishion it down the middle and try using half for Readyboost and half for eboostr on my CF-29 with Win7 Pro. It should be fun and is worth a try! :D

:lauging: Ha ha, you guys are funny! You caught me with a single typo and you invalidate the central idea of my post.

Now that I know how important spelling and diction are to you, would you like my assistance in pointing out your entire multitude of errors? I will be happy to offer this service! :D

well... Azrial, at least you can validate that we do have a sense of humor but no thanks, I do my own spell check but sure as hell won't be "parishioning" any of my drives... not that soon anyway! :pbjt:

Jokes aside, do keep us updated on how the proggie runs in XP. Gotta run... have a job interview or I won't have moolah for TBs!!
