Mine is a MK3. I was told it would but I would be nuts to listen to some of the memory sellers on ebay. When I get it I will try it , if it boots it works ...

Then yes, either of the DDR2 chips you have will work.

Blair, if you're referring to the Mk3, then DDR2 PC-5300 will fit/work. I've installed 3gb, out of the 4gb max, in my CF-51RCLDFBM. You'll love the increase in speed, especially when you have many applications or browser windows opened.

If it's another Mk2, it'll need DDR1. Update us when it's done.

Well I am glad I didn't throw them on ebay. The 51 should be here tuesday with any luck. I never heard from the guy with the CD's so tonight I am loading a 80GB harddrive with XP OEM , is yours XP or XP Pro ? I have all the drivers downloaded .

Happily chugging away with XP Pro SP3 (no further online updates). Let us know when yours arrive.

Picked it up today. Not to bad of shape. Sticker crap on it but it was easy coming off. Put the 2GB memory in it and the BIOS seen it so that much works. The HD that I installed XP Pro on was SP1 so I am going to wipe it and put SP3 OEM on it. Hope to do it this weekend, still got 1 more night to work then off for 2. I will let you know how I do with the drivers.

I've been told PC2-6400 will work in an MK3.
I have a stick and will give it a try shortly.

I think Driller was the one that tried it...some times you can get them at a good price on ebay.
