So I bought two CF-51's and they don't seem to have the standard magnesium alloy tops on them... pics are below. What do you guys think?

After looking at it VERY closely I can see that it has simply been re-painted... Looks good though!!

That is the silver "hammered look" paint that Krylon makes. I have used the black (really dark gray) and they do turn out very nice. They make for a sharp looking two-tone effect. I used it on a CF-28 and left the Toughbook logo silver. Combined with the black rubber corners it does look sharp!

I like it! It has me thinking about doing this to my server case!
