Thanks Rob.

Can you check price and availability on the following part number?

FZ-VNS401U

Edit It info says the part is compatible with the FZ-40 only, but I think it will work w/a CF-30/31's. End Edit

Thanks Rob

For those concerned with Linux and UEFI and Secure Boot, I have Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE desktop environment) installed on my CF-31 MK4 with UEFI, TPM, and Secure Boot enabled. Not all distros support Secure Boot, but as of July 2015 the following Mainstream distros supported UEFI and Secure Boot: Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE, and RedHat.

https://www.pcworld.com/article/422665/ ... abled.html

MxLinux does not yet support Secure Boot as far as I can see.

This forum has a way to install Pop!_OS (and presumably other distros) with Secure Boot and UEFI:

Because MX is Debian derivative SB shoudn't be a problem, it will basically use the Debian signature and be recognised.
CF-29 x 3 (Debian (Rugged) 11, FreeDOS 1.2, Windows 7)
CF-30 (Debian 11, Windows 10)
CF-31SBLAX1M (Debian 11, Windows 10)
CF-D1 (Debian 11, Windows 10, trying BlissOS)
Never give up, never surrender!

Michael AU wrote: Tue May 24, 2022 1:45 pm The only thing that is missing from it for me is a parallel port, the CF29 was the last unit to have them and I use them for tuning cars.
If your software works with newer OS, there are USB to parallel adapters.
