Who wants free G1 batteries? THIS RECALL IS SERIOUS!!!!

#1 Post by Rob »

***EDIT***

The free exchange is expired now (As of 4/30/18).

I can still replace batteries but not for free any more!

$30 for a new battery + shipping.

Thanks!

If any of you have G1's please read below!

Cou can send to me via PM a list of model and serial numbers I will get you new, non-recalled batteries for no cost whatsoever as well as a return shipping label to get the recalled batteries back to Panasonic. I need your shipping address and I *NEED* the old batteries back and we'll pay for shipping both ways!

PDF mandate attached as we HAVE to send these messages out!! The model numbers affected ARE FZ-VZSU84, FZ-VZSU84U, FZ-VZSU84AU.

The following model number is the new model that is good. If you have units with THIS model then they do NOT need to be replaced: FZ-VZSU84A2U The extended life VZSU88 models are NOT affected.

What this does is gives you the ability to get NEW batteries for your used G1's. There are no strings attached as we are working on behalf of Panasonic in this mandate!

Thanks!

Not for free no.

You'd have to call Panasonic.

Something neat happened. I bought a few cf-s10. When i installed windows it automatically downloaded a panasonic warning about the battery recall. It did a battery update to new firmware. It was a red screen showing fire. That also happened on my cf-c2 a couple years ago
