Bill, that's the first hurdle. I used gmail.com but comes check out, as long as Paypal is non-USA verified, the system pulls the plug!

Blair... so near yet so far! :pat:

You can use the American designation and address to try and circumvent their BS as one way, or use (ex. @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com etc) with your Me address, or, Yes, I can send one to you. I ordered several just on the off chance that that would happen.
Give it a week for the first batch to get here and I'll let you know.
Point aside, the closest I've been to your area was Bangor. Real God's country.
I use the email the phone company gave me (nb.sympatico.ca) . I will take one.Thank you very much, let me know the cost and I will Paypal you or moneyorder what ever is best for you

I had that same problem with a few other sites so now I stick with my home email address.

Annoying as hell isn't it. Oh if you knew to verify to a US address. lol, seriously. :bs:
:damnit:

Yes, I can send 1 to you. When I get them I'll let you know. There is always a way to screw them then. The same for Teo and Ron.

:wtf:

Ladies and Gentlemen;

Hot off the presses. Just got access to some larger SATA drives for Benchmarking. :pbjt:

I have access to several new larger Drives. A Seagate 250 - 7200 rpm ST9250410AS, WD 320 - 5400 rpm WD3200BEVT, Fujitsu 500 - 5400 rpm MJA2500BH, and a WD 640 - 5400 rpm WD6400BEVT.

Fortunately, I have a second adapter so I can start the process. :boing:

Why start small, I grabbed the new WD 640 GB SATA drive and stuffed it in the drive caddy. :blob: :read:
Stuck it in my MK3-J model and fired it up to Bios. :clapping:

Attached is the screenshot of this. :damnit:

Yup, it took it. Found the WD 640 GB HD :pbjt: :pbjt:

Where will the benchmark top out then, Azrials "kidding" about a 1TB, maybe.

Many thanks, Bill. I'll work the puzzle with Teo once he gets his grubby fingers on 'em.

Important Update: I just DESTROYED an adapter.

After all the checking I did about squeezing the HD back into the caddy, I missed the fact that with the 90 deg. brace in the top plate of the caddy it stresses the SATA adapter to the point that it will crack the top lip of the adapter causing the connections to break loose from the HD.
I repeat, remove the 90 deg. brace from the top plate. without the brace, it allows the ribbon connections to slip up in the corner of the top plate and keeps from stressing the connectors. EDIT

I have placed updates in as many spots as I could to let people know I had this problem so they could be careful.
