CF-U1 serial number question

Just scored a cheap U1 Mk2 and I wonder what the serial number means: CF-U1GQG8HQ2
For manufacturer date: The first number is the year and the letter after it is the month.
9 = 2009
0 = 2010
1 = 2011
2 = 2012
ETC
A = Jan
B = Feb
ETC
Nothing else matters and is just random
