And so I offlined the major areas I navigate with the new Google Maps!!!!

THIS……….

https://techcrunch.com/2016/08/09/googl ... ad-option/

Tested too and will test further upon driving home from Wisco tonight! 

Totally just downloaded 1.7GB worth of maps which covers the entire northern half of IL all the way up to Wis Dells, WI to my Toughpad so it’ll work 100% offline with ZERO data usage.

It automatically syncs with WIFI (So at home in my garage my Android tablet is on the WIFI of course) and you can have multiple locations for this…

This will also prove VERY helpful when working and navigating in Colorado where there is ZERO coverage for miles where I am :)

Calling Jeff to try in his area where the service is bad too!!!

Ohh and overseas navigating so you aren't burning through $30 for 100MB of data.......

The list goes on and on!!! :pbjt: :headbang: :headbang:

One place I read where maps are auto deleted in 30 days.

What is the best app for displaying GPS CO-ORDINATES? GPS Lat/Long Viewer is slow but usable.

I have been trying to figure out how to use these with my GPS. They are a great resource, either way!

Fairly straightforward on Android. I'm not comfortable with it yet as I'm still in a learning curve.....let me see if I can find someone else's tutorial.

I used keywords "download google maps" and milled around from there. (milled as in "livestock milling around"):)

As far as PC goes I didn't go there yet.

I'll edit later.
