Need help with decoding a CF-U1 model number!

So my birthday is coming up this monday, so I ordered a CF-U1 off of Fleabay as a present to myself. However, I'm really confused as to what I ordered. The posting says that the U1 has an Atom Z530 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM, 64GB SSD, and no OS. The post included a model number of CF-U1AQBXZAM, which according to the TBT configurator, makes no sense with the item title. Today, I asked the seller what the full model number was and he responded with CF-U1GQGXG2M. I'd like to know what the full specs of the CF-U1G model number are, since the eBay posting shows CF-U1GQG in one of the pictures, the hand strap covers the rest of it. The TBT configurator doesn't go up to G under CPU so I can't check the full specs.

You want the Mk2 with 1.6 and 2gb of ram. Just on the older atom pc going from 1 to 2gb of ram was night and day in the speed difference. On the 64 gb ssd it's the slowest one. If you can find a 32 gb Samsung SSD to speed it up and use the SD card slot for more storage.

Is the U1 Mk2 even worth it ADOR? I owned a U1 Mk1 last year and it was shit IMO, too slow for today's tasks.

I think the MK2 is the one I'm getting from USPS at some point, says it's been in Des Moines for the past 28 hours. If it really does have a Gobi in it, I'm definitely excited, it'll save my wallet from more addiction costs. User32, I don't plan on doing anything too hard on it, certainly can't run Starcraft 2 on it, but maybe the original Starcraft :D but I'll mainly use it for GPS, checking stuff at work, keeping track of trailers, stuff like that. Nothing that'll put too much stress on that tiny Atom

I still use mine alot, but it's not a main pc. That one is still a Mk1. I took a really crappy looking Mk2 with broken screen and dropped it inside of a good Mk1 housing and got it going, but touch isn't working. I just haven't had time to take it back apart and see if it was just the cable or what it was. (That will decide if I strip and sell it and replace it with another Mk2) I use mine more of a back up pc for the Alienware I take to work as my main pc (gaming). The U1 has GPS, etc so I can do some of my hobby stuff. I am kind of a tweak hound on my personal OS's as well so lots of un-needed Panasonic stuff is off (handwriting utility).

I had thought about taking a H1 motherboard and trying to upgrade the CPU in the U1 to the 1.8 ATOM. I had a H1 so I known how it would of run so the cost for doing it would of been much more than the performance gained. I would of liked to seen the U1 stick around and go to the mobile i series like the H2 did. But the small tablets killed that.

But working on other Atom PC's the 2gb of ram made a big difference,Vista and 7 use a lot of ram, but you still need to run more single minded with them. Don't open a ton of tabs in the web browser, etc. Stuff like that. Even in my mini pc collection I have 7 running on a Lifebook 810. 800mhz cpu with 1gb of ram. I have another similar machine (HTC Shift) that will be getting a rare 2gb ram upgrade as it's about the only mini pc that had ram you could upgrade.

I finally have it in my hands! I can confirm that the model number is CF-U1GQGXG2M. Has a few scuffs along the bottom, but it powers on, BIOS reports 2940 hours, and oddly seems to have 2 batteries (despite any part of the Fleabay post mentioning more than one battery). I plugged it in, and I saw the Battery 1 icon show that it was charging, and now while I'm in the BIOS, the Battery 2 light has light up orange. Otherwise the BIOS reports a 64GB primary drive, and under Wireless it shows options for either enabling or disabling Wireless WLAN, Bluetooth, and Wireless WWAN! Gotta say, I don't believe in love at first sight, but I might change my opinion now :notworthy: Side note: Is it normal for a U1 to alternate between batteries while charging? I'm making a Windows 7 Pro USB drive with the U1 MK2 drivers, and it has switched between batteries a few times.
