Funding needed for new core batteries *$232.40*
Funding needed for new core batteries *$232.40*
Team,
The MAIN battery system which works GREAT needs new batteries again. It's a 3000VA system (two 1500's put together) and the last battery replacement was on 6/2/10 (Almost 6 years ago when they are supposed to be replaced every 3 - 4 years TOPS. This is MY FAULT and it's neglect which I am not proud of. Life I guess). This is the CORE battery system that runs ALL the network equipment and shares a load with the 2nd battery for the 2nd power plug on the server. The 2nd battery system is a 1250VA APC as well but those batteries are GOOD TO GO as they were replaced on 9/25/15
It takes 6 batteries (3 in each bank) and I have a local hookup that I buy all my batteries from anyways (I'm a re-seller for them) - Battery Giant in Naperville, IL. - Duracell batteries, not a generic crap brand
The breakdown is below:
$35.95/each * 6 = $215.70 + tax = $232.40
As you all know I HATE asking for $$$ and if I don't get a single PENNY I am still replacing these tomorrow morning as it HAS to be done. This will secure our MAIN battery system for AT LEAST 3 - 4 years
Thanks in advance for everything guys!

I think I chipped in $20 last replacement - probably about time for another "dues" payment. How do you want it?

Are the batteries all that is needed?
Otherwise we could hold another auction for some donated equipment.

Re: Funding needed for new core batteries *$232.40*
Batteries replaced and good!
My GOD this should have been done sooner... Have a look at these pictures...
One of the 6 is almost exploaded from overcharging and the others all tested bad. One was as low as 1.7 amp hours when they should be 7.5AH. The best one scored in at 4.1AH... Overall this was done in the nick of time.
I put 9.0AH batteries in there too as they were the same price as the 7.5's Slightly larger capacity.
Self check - GOOD
Pulled power plug and let it run - GOOD
Battery replacement date labeled as today - GOOD
I got a further discount and the bill ended up being $225.95 total (Also attached)
Thanks!
