Toughbooktalk team,

Tonight around 11PM Central time there will be a few minutes of down time as I am finally getting rid of this shotty Netgear firewall and upgrading to an enterprise grade ZyXEL firewall. These are the bad boy firewalls!

With everything there may be some hiccups the week following and the old firewall is still in the rack powered on in case it needs to be switched back.

Update - 12:56AM:

This didn't happen tonight.

Typical 15 hour day got me. I have the new FW 75% programmed but NOT ready to go tonight. I will install it tomorrow during the day. Honestly the down time will be so minimal that it shouldn't matter but I can safely say that it will happen by 3PM CST.

New firewall installed!!!

Working great, no access issues here on the west coast.

No issues over here in TN.

Should be 100% good to go. I have local issues with SIP trunking with some IP phones but I'm out of town all week so I'll work on that later.

Case closed for now!
