Any one ever used Holley Pro-jection?

I got a unit for the 52 ford but haven't ever messed with one. Luckly it came with the instructions (via 1993). It's a old alpha-N system where TPS, RPM and Engine Temp is all it uses for it to run. It's analog fuel injection. I am sorting out the couple of missing parts now and hope to have it mounted tomorrow.

I always wanted to swap fuel injection onto a carbed vehicle. I ended buying a newer Ranger that was fuel injected.

After seeing some of the throttle body fuel injection abortions that GM produced, The Holley system can't be that bad.

The older GM truck throttle body injection systems aren't that bad. They can even be reprogrammed to run on other makes. The holley throttle body is very close to the 454 throttle body with 2" butterflies. It's 670 CFM

The old holley systems aren't bad at all, sone one won the engine master challenge with one on a GEN 3.

So far I have un-fuel injected the 1989 302 with the crappy low performance efi, carbed it and now putting a better EFI that is easily adjustable on there.

If I had the money right now I would go with FItech or Holley sniper EFI. They look like carbs, the computer is contained in the float bowls, 4 wires to hook up. FItech even has one that is N2O or boost ready. No tuning, just put your power adder on and use it.

One of my customers for CF-19 teaches auto in Junior College, runs a very nice shop and is probably too busy but he likes to talk/teach. He has I think three of my hand-me-down CF-19's. His friend my other customer is on his third maybe fourth CF-30 for his shop.

I should hook youse guys up.....better yet get them on the forum. By the time they get done for the day a computer is the last thing they want to look at. Pro'bly a no-go. :(

There is a interesting Chevy only unit on ebay, been on there over a year now. Edelbrock street master efi. All I can find out about it is it was made in the late 70's, 1978 for sure and it's a sefi unit. No instructions or hardly any pictures any where. The edelbrock made in America book preview on google books was all I could find to date it. If I could find instructions I might take a chance on it though make a offer.

On the projection I have thought about getting one of these.

The 534-27 kit works on analog systems like mine as well. But is pricy. Seen them for 200 to 300 bucks for it. Not worth it for that price. I can get the newer 2d ECU for about 350 and it's a newer digital ECU but has the O2 loop built in so if you don't use a O2 sensor you don't need it.

Newer style ecu.

For wide open throttle it doesn't uses the O2 sensor.

If this one works out I will be looking for another cheap one, snagged the first one for 153.

For the price I am going to try it out. I can already bring up the whole dash on my laptop, but this looks like it might be handy.

If the pro-jection cpu is dead my back up plan is to either get the newer projection 2d cpu or mod a chevy pickup cpu for it. There are plenty of them in the local yard. Hell I may go ahead and pick up the parts and just put them up. This throttle body is patterned after the one Chevy used on the 454 big blocks.
