What's the stats on the toughwiki? If there's decent traffic there too, I'd suggest that there be more visible links between it and the forum so that both sites can benefit from each other's visits. Right now TBT is merely listed as "Other resources" and there's no obvious link back to the wiki from the forum. It would be cool if both sites looked like they were under the same umbrella, with matching look-and-feel. Maybe an updated logo for both sites would be a good start?

It would help to show that we're not just a bunch of guys talking about computers, but are part of an organization of sorts, with a library of useful technical info and resources.

A link to Toughwiki on the top banner maybe?
Or even a few smaller direct links to the popular wiki pages such as CF19/CF30/CF31/CF52/CF53.
Is Paul's model info on Toughwiki?
If the cloud is defunct...you may want to update the banner anyway...

Would Panasonic throw a fit if you had a link on the banner to the current configurator? And or the official Toughbook drivers page?

I have been amazed at the "lurkers". I pop in and 8 to ? are looking.

My opinion:
1. Shawn has a "following".
2. Sadlmkr has a "following".

Shawn cause he's so good ON RESEARCH. Sadlmkr 'cause it's Linux. Shawn-buddy we are being watched. :)

Suggestions:
1. If you're going to lurk folks...sign up. Please.
2. Years ago I mentioned the BST. "MAKE IT EASY".....A SIMPLE CLICK.
3. Maybe put stickies in there own section.

I just wish there were more users like me, business rugged talk or UT-MB5 4k Tablet. I feel soo alone and I am constantly ordering laptops from Japan. Is there anyone else on this board who prefers sub 2 pound laptops? Before tablets, Panasonic was the King of the sub compact market.

I do own a lightweight laptop. I like it, but it does not replace the fully rugged models. It's a different tool used for different jobs.

I have played with the T1,2,5,7,8 W2,5,7,8 toughbooks and love them. Currently have T8 as my backup, I will be using it more as I just sold my personal CF-19 Mk3. Co-worker seen how good of shape it was in it and had to have it.

As far as a new gaming laptop I am looking hard at a MSI GS60, GS70 or a HP omen. Those are very, very thin and light. But when the time comes to head out into the woods the other 19 or 30 will get the call.

The T/W8 series are ancient now. The N/S replaced them then the NX/SX and now it seems the AX/MX.

I agree different tools for different jobs. I am a businessman so I like lightweight and durable.
