Wait... I have 8.1 Pro as a fresh install on a mk5 with a documented list of drivers that work and don't work... I thought I posted it here a while back.

Oh.. nevermind... it was for my old mk3. I now have a mk5... so that doesn't answer any of your questions. lol.

That said though - how many levels of display brightness are you supposed to get? I swear I should have one more "dim" level before off. Right now the brightness buttons seem to trigger the Windows 8.1 system dimming, so I can't get that "I can barely see the screen" brightness level before the backlight turns off.

Not sure but it wasn't as many levels as it's supposed to!!! At the MINIMUM it's supposed to be ONE nit... Windows 8.1 blows :P

I have 11 levels of backlight brightness including off....
... but the dimmest isn't dim enough!! grr...
