I acquired a MK1 from my work. Really like it. Its a CF-19CHBAXBM
I have upgraded the bios to the vista bios from the panasonic jp site. I have removed the bottom and tossed away the 512 meg ram chip i couldn't reach and move from 1.5 to 3 gigs of ram and have also removed the HD and replaced with a 120gig SSD I had here from my other laptop that isn't in use anymore.
I installed Windows 7 pro, and it identifies the PC as "Single Touch Input Available" on the Pen and Touch line of System properties.
I have installed the vista touch screen drivers and they installed just fine and i saw the change in device manager to match the panasonic driver.
I also installed the Panasonic Misc driver and followed this and that from various howto's i have found here on how to install windows 7.
Touch doesn't do anything.. Anyone else have this issue ever? have any ideas how to fix? drivers etc?
The touch screen is flawless so its not physically damaged and my boss said it worked for him on XP. When i booted the old HD (new bios installed) it didn't work but I assumed it was due to the new Bios?
so is it dead? anyways to test other than install Vista on a drive and try to get a stock 32 bit vista running with all the panasonic drivers?
Appreciate any ideas on this on how to test.
Thanks!
