Geeze, this MK3 just showed up on my doorstep with a customs agent's hand in my wallet. :D

I've been snagging XP5520's from Bell Canada and the unlock code is THE SAME FOR ALL IMEI's but only for Bell Canada XP5520's. That means some bloke would be selling these cheap and I just slap in another SIM, enter the code and I'm up and running on a different network.

What carrier are you using? I might be able to hook you up with one if it's compatible. I think that guy I bought the used handset for a hundred bucks still has two left. I figure that if I send you one it would cost around 120-ish dollars US including shipping.

Or you could bid for one like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sonim-XP5520-BO ... 1e93218df0 (specs are incorrect in the item description, it's not a CDMA EVDO phone, it's WCDMA/UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM)
And I could give you the code.

This looks like a good deal for an XP5520 Bolt:

I've also had my eye on the Cat B100 and good deals are cropping up on these too:

As for the Cat B15 Android, they're still in the $400 + range.

That's it. A couple of days ago, Sonim finally did it and came out with their first smart phone, the XP7:

Up here, Bell and Telus sell these for 200 bucks on a 2-year contract, or $750 without.

In this video, Sonim's boss shows the XP6 that has a keypad, of which I find even less info on.

The Sonim XP6 is now out over AT&T http://www.att.com/cellphones/sonim/xp6.html
The XP7 still seems to be only in Canada at the moment.

CAT's S50, the new LTE Android phone is worthy of mention. Their own website doesn't even have all the details on it, so I had to go to gsmarena to find out its specs:
http://www.gsmarena.com/cat_s50-6664.php
http://www.catphones.com/en-gb/phones/s50-smartphone/
It might be a bit cheaper than the Sonim and has a higher resolution screen of 720 x 1280 versus the XP7's 480x800. I really want to hold these in my hands, though. Just through the pictures I get the distinct impression that the Sonim is tougher. And the way they integrated the 103 dB speaker into the external GPS antenna on top seems well thought out.
