The drive is a
1.8" PATA
UATA 5000...
ZIF cable interface
I had a
SanDisk SDU5B-032G-102501 SSD UATA 5000 1.8" 32G Solid State Hard Drive in one of my C5's.
It does have a FULL Mini PCIE slot..A Mini PCIE SSD drive works nice as a 2nd storage drive.

I have a 1.8 zif drive kicking around,new. 120gb for a dell xt that went south.

That sounds perfect for the C5.
They also make a ZIF to MSATA adapter. (Mini PCIE slot)
If I recall correctly, that's what's inside the Sandisk drive pictured above.
You have to pay attention as they make a Toshiba and a Hitachi ZIF drive. The cables are different. I "think" the Hitachi is thicker.

Subtle bump. The TS is a NHH (MK5)? Works great. I'm cleaning house. NHH has a broken corner. Didn't you fix one once upon a time? All else is fine. I'll put them in a box tomorrow and let you look at them. Or not...no conditions. I may have a third drive too. Now where was that rascal? Nopesters, it's a CF-19. end edit.

I have a plastic welder that I use to repair lots of things...
.I'm waiting on some photos and test results from Springy
