GPS Tracking Program choices

#1 Post by UNCNDL1 »

I tried this free program from Google via the CNET download site today:
http://download.cnet.com/Google-Maps-wi ... 94227.html
I loaded it onto a stock MK1 CF-19 with factory gps. It was easy to configure settings for COM 3 BAUD 4800, and then started the program. I had the toughbook on the passenger seat of my car and drove from home to work. The program tracked my route via gps while showing a nice map of the entire area. This was free to download and use, but a screen did come up offering to sell me a full version with free updates and support for just under $25. It looks like the program uses Google Earth Maps. Worth a try as its free for now.
Best regards,
