CF-19 MK3 BIOS question

Hey guys, I have a CF-19KCRAX6M that is having touch screen issues. I believe the problem may lay in the BIOS version. I have had experience with BIOS versions conflicting with the touch screen when it comes to installing win7. I was hoping someone here could help me clarify this situation. The bios version is V3.00L19. If someone could let me know if the bios is compatible with winXP or win7, I would greatly appreciate it.

I didn't know there was an "old configurator". I understand that it's explaining the nomenclature, but what exactly am I looking for in regards to the BIOS?

More specifically:

We know the CF-19KC model is compatible with Win7 and have the image needed. We loaded the Win7 image on but are still encountering some issues.

In the past we have learned that some bios vesions are compatible with WinXP and some with Win7.

We had a CF-30 that the touch panel would not work with WIn7 but if we installed XP it worked fine. After upgrading the BIOS to a Win7 compatible version the touch panel then worked with the Win7 load.

How can we learn what version the Bios is for and if it is compatible with the desired OS?

The V3.00L19 BIOS is for XP and V3.01L22 is for Vista/W7. At least that is my take on them.

I have a CF-19KCRAG6M that has a Vista Business COA that is running BIOS V3.01L22 and has W7P32 loaded from a factory image.

You should be good now. :D

mklym is right , you need no BIOS update for you 19 . The 30MK1 and the 19MK1 was the only ones that needed the update.

The only thing I have noticed about my Mk3 CF-19 is mine has the factory windows 7 COA, but it doesn't have the code in the bios because windows 7 won't activate with out punching in the COA number and going online to validate. I think it's because mine has Windows 7 COA but had XP installed from the factory.

Description: WinXP (Win7 COA), Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.20GHz (Centrino2), vPro, 10.4" XGA Touch, 160GB, 2GB, Intel WiFi a/b/g/n, Dual Pass(Upper:WWAN/Lower:WLAN), TPM, Bluetooth, No Drive, Toughbook Preferred, replaced with CF-19RHRAX1M

That's tough to answer. The customer doesn't' want to ship it in to us for full diagnostics. The best I can answer is that the TP works but is not calibrated. The calibration tool will not work and he cannot install the drivers, that it comes up the hardware is not recognized.
