Adding 64GB the easy way!
I found these at Best Buy the other day and knew instantly that I wanted one (or two) I Hope it can help some of you guys out.
Sandisk Cruzer Fit USB flash drive 32GB Got mine on sale for $24.99 each. I think they are $29.99 now, but you can ask for the old price and they will give it to you. Regular price is something like $60. One fits perfect under the back cover of my CF-30. The second one fits with just a tiny modification. You have to remove just a tiny bit of metal from the brace on the back cover. It does not affect the cover in anyway. 64GB closed up, in the case, good to go. Hope it helps!

Re: Adding 64GB the easy way!
Thanks for the info. I am still searching for these kind of small USB-drives to use with my CF-28s,
CF-29s and many,many CF-m34s that i have collected.
Important thing about these tiny things is that they fit behind the covers....

Be forewarned that these will NOT fit behind the usb port cover of a CF-08. And they are the smallest usb drives I've been able to find. Not quite on topic but I figured I'd chime in here anyway.

I bought an Integral Fusion USB flashdrive (8 Gig) 11 euros., (INFD8GBFUSRD)
It fits behind the back-cover of my CF-27, CF-28 and CF-29. I can also buy a 16 gig version for 16 euros.

Set a price alert at camelcamelcamel.com for the Cruzer on Amazon. Copy/paste URL of item into camel3 and see price fluctuations over several months. $18 and 15.99 are the 2 lows. Set alert at $18 and you will get a email whenever price drops to 18 or lower.

The 32GB Fit also fits in the USB port, beside the power port, with the cover closed. No mods needed. Just an FYI.

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

Re: Adding 64GB the easy way!
could you do the same thing with a bigger SD card? or do these SD card ports have a limit on size? or are they even fast enough?
Re: Adding 64GB the easy way!
SD cards? These are usb flash drives. Mine read a 64gb fine. But they don't make a 64gb in the super small size. The small size is required to get the door closed with the usb flash drive installed in the port.Mxx20 wrote:could you do the same thing with a bigger SD card? or do these SD card ports have a limit on size? or are they even fast enough?
Life will beat you into submission.
