I'm still running XP on my CF-30Mk1 (need to do something about that I guess), but Windows 8.1 is not bad on my FZ-G1, where its touch-y UI makes more sense.
One of the best things I've learned in Windows 8 though is the Windows key + X combination. It brings up a list of power-user shortcuts that let you bypass a lot of the incessant, "My First Windows" clicking. Shutdown is thankfully one of those items.
