Itching for change... Thoughts?

Hey guys.

As you know, I have a C1 now as per my signature. I love it but there are a few things that I can't deal with any more:
1) No GPS
2) Screen isn't bright enough
3) I can't stand on it when trying to proove how tough they are in my day to day life while trying to sell them

I was thinking of a few things:

Sell it and switch to a brand new CF-19RMRGX2M - MK4 1.2 i5/2GB/160G/Emmisive/Touch/GPS/Dual pass
I will upgrade to 4GB and either put my 256GB SSD back in and give it a second whack or just put a 320GB in there. I will also put my ATT 4G LTE card in there. Cost isn't a problem becasuse I have a ridiculously low price on these!! A few other notes I'm trying to touch on to "simplify my life"

1) Get rid of my old trusty CF-29 MK1 and VDL01 PDRC out of my truck and put a brand new Gamber and Johnson setup in there (about $750.00 to do this) to dock my CF-19 in tablet mode
2) When on a run, I will just dock my 19 in there. The antenna pass throughs to the roof will be installed too (GPS + WWAN)
3) Have a 2nd user account on my new CF-19 with pre-sets software wise for my audio set up in my truck so it's an INSTANT carputer and GPS navigation. This is what my CF-29 is being used for now which I'm tired of because it isn't fast enough + I always have to use my 4G hotspot to get on the webs in my truck. Rather annoying
4) Purchase a 2nd Gamber and Johnson setup for my boat with a normal, non-port replicating dock (about $162) to put my CF-19 in my boat. Right now I use my H1 and the screen isn't bright enough + I've gotten to be WAY to reliant on this machine for customer information so losing it or hurting it in any ways would be detramental to my health.
5) Use the CF-19 in my boat for navigation and music with my bluetooth speaker with the super bright screen.

Yes I'm crazy, but I need to make a change here. A few side notes that I've already thought about:
1) No HDMI on the CF-19 - that's fine because my C1 doesn't have HDMI and I've been doing fine without it
2) Already purchased the desktop dock for CHEAP.
3) Wanted to switch to an i7 CF-31, but it's just too heavy! I travel a LOT, LOT LOT now and I NEED something light. The CF-19 is a fair trade off.
4) The keyboard I T.H.I.N.K, THINK I can get used to since I'm used to the C1 keyboard now, and it's only slightly smaller.

Thoughts? Comments? Thanks guys!! :)

Sounds like a good plan to me. Same profile for car & boat?

I assume the integrated GPS on the Gobi2k wasn't up to the job.

that CF-19 model
CF-19RMRGX2M: WinXP (Win7 COA), Intel Core i5-540UM 1.20GHz, vPro, 10.4" XGA Touch, 160GB, 2GB, Intel WiFi a/b/g/n, TPM, Bluetooth, Dual Pass (Upper:WWAN/Lower:WLAN), GPS, Bluetooth, Emissive Backlit Keyboard, SmartCard, No Drive, Toughbook Preferred
has WWAN,WLAN pass-through.
Can you rewire it for WWAN, GPS ?

P.S. they listed Bluetooth twice :P maybe it has Blueteeth :D

I thought the pass throughs were changable in the BIOS. I'll have to double check on that. Good catch!

Not sure why Bluetooth is listed twice.... lol

Similar. Mongoose swivel upper arm + 9" lower arm to a universal 4 bolt pattern for the floor which will be bolted the the floor of the boat. Don't need a $500+ port replicated docking station on the boat since I won't be doing antenna pass thrus on there + I want everything sealed up. Battery power only for obvious reasons.

Yep having one that is fully rugged for show and sale works. What the guys at work get a kick out of. Some hear toughbook and automatically think "fully rugged" no mater what model it is. Some of them just don't grap semi-rugged and business rugged.

I still use my Mk1 19 for travel alot, just quick trips and over nighters. If it's going to be longer I grab the CF-30 and M11x R1. The girl friends dell has finally crapped all the way out on her. It still lives but only as a wi-fi hotspot in her house using a older version of connectify. (dying motherboard, won't reconize batter or dvd drive, the board has been replaced twice already for the same problems, just out of warranty now.) I just got her a dock and got to round up the rest of it for her desk so she can do it all on the same pc. Having one in all like that can really help out, just don't loose it, lol.

I just got another CF-51 Mk3. It's going to be her new one for at home. Waiting on the hard drive to get in. 32 bit windows 7 going on it with 2 to 4gb of ram. After this she will be up to two toughbooks the CF-19 Mk1 and CF-51. She already carries the 19 where ever she goes and after her kids crashed it with a virus last time they don't get to touch it any more.

I pulled the trigger and bought the CF-19 :D

I'll have it at my door tomorrow morning at 10:30AM. My new king sized tempur-pedic is coming tomorrow morning too for that matter.
