If you were wondering the difference between the CF-53 and the CF-52 then check out the pictures. The picture of the 52 was not very good...screen is messes up and the camera shows everything.

I like that it is so much lighter than the 52. I am getting around 5+ hours on a battery. The screen is so bright and its like wow when playing movies.
I tried 2 SSD drives in it...both Intel 320 series 120GB (16 second boot) and 160GB (24 second boot) . Not sure why the boot time is different.
Mine has the i5/2520 , 8GB ,W7 Pro 64bit

ALSO the CF-53 is not replacing the CF-52. Panasonic will still be upgrading it.

How much better are the hinges on the 53? It looks like they made them really wide to take more stress. Just needs a dedicated graphics option now.

I do like how it is scaled down a tad, but still good size screen.

I'm with ADOR, if it would have an dedicated graphic card, I would be on the train.

If I knew I could 100% mod a keyboard to work and the screen hook up was compatible I would open up one of the CF-29's I have and put a Alienware M11x motherboard in it. The R1 (Mk1 for you toughbookers) version always ran very cool. With Core2duo 1.3 that can be factory over clocked 1.7 in the bios, dual graphics intel 4500 and nvidia 335 GT, up to 8gb DDR 3 ram. I run all my games on high and have never had to over clock it. I have never seen the temps in the red zone. It would take some case modding for the fan too.

The M11x is Alienware's 11" laptop. The motherboard is small, fitting it in wont' be a problem.
