So what is the best WIFI card to use in this little beast...2200 ? I just found a 2915ABG and was wondering if anyone ever used this one in it.

I've used the EnGenius 8602 in a M34, and it worked decent. Don't see any reason why a 2915 would have any issues, and it's a much better wifi than the 2200.

ETA: If going with EnGenius use the 400 mW 8602+ not the 600 mW 8602+S. Not sure if the internal slot can deliver enough juice for the hotter card, and not much range difference anyway.

ALWAYS replace the OEM wifi in the Mk7, which is a 2100 and those really suck - dropped connection, BSOD, lousy driver . . . . .

I aways use the atheros based chipset, a dual band SMC2536W AG2 mini pci card 300mw but its harder and harder to find. Now! you can only find a PCMCIA type no more of the mini pci card. Its powerful and have a great signal from a distance.
Btw, we are talking about the m34 unit.

I can buy some 30 Cisco aironet 350 series (AIR-LMC350) for dirt cheap.

they are all the PC version (but with the PCMCIA card on it).

only disadvantage is the low 10 mpbs speed.

Is 3 euros a piece to expensive or a bargain ? Or would i better spend twice the money for the 2915s ? I prefer to leave the PCMCIA port free, and use a mini-pci card instead, because with the free PCMCIA i could use a USB 2.0 card aswell. Anyhow, most of the CF-m34s i have, are the mk2 version, with the gsm antenna on the left side. Am I able to use this Cisco 350 cards with the standard M34 antenna ?
