The IX-325 has an option for compact flash card GPS that caught my eye. Knowing the older GPS don't have the performance of modern units, I ordered a modern GlobalSat BC-337 http://usglobalsat.com/store/p-140-bc-337.aspx
Will give a report when it comes in . . . . .
Well I picked up my IX-325 today and it's in great shape...like new. http://www.ebay.com/itm/150702712632?ss ... 1436.l2649 I was suprised it had bluetooth and a Edge 775 Air card. Is this what the small antenna with the red tip on it is for ? The battery need to be replaced...only 1/2 hour tops but still very happy with it. Also came with a case like the one ($10.00) I bought but it had another piece to it that you can store crap in...cool .

Well I had decided to get rid of the ix300's and get one updated ix325 and wound up getting two, lmao. No one bid so I won them both for cheap. These don't have a harddrive in them. They look like they take the 1.8" ZIF type is that the right kind?
First off thank you very much for the box of Itronix parts. It was much appreciated. My IX-325 is at my other house so when I get up there I will check. I never had it apart before but will need to soon because I need to replace the internal coin battery....now where to get one of them.

Both of my IX325's are a little different. One seems to have a film on it like the touchscreen toughbooks, the other the screen looks very clean and clear. To get into the bios you press enter on both BUT you press enter on one and F1 on the other to get all the way into the bios? Not sure what is the difference in them yet. They both seemed to have had GPS units that were stripped out. The mini-pci wireless cards are gone too. Still exploring them, easier to get to everything in them. When you get ready to put a harddrive in that IX300 if you keep it you will have to split the case. The foam and cable are in it already though, the wi-fi card is different too. I had one, I just don't remember who's box it was put in. Still wrapped in plastic who ever got it.
