Very rare CF-33

Post all questions and information about the CF-33 in here. (Yes, Panasonic skipped the "CF-32 model" and went straight to CF-33 just to be a pain...)

Very rare CF-33

#1 Post by xamax »

Hello, everybody.

I have a very rare Panasonic Toughbook CF-33.

It model number is CF-33BF74ZVM. According to this number this laptop should have Quick-release SSD. It looks like here: https://na.panasonic.com/us/computers-t ... -512gb-ssd.

But I cannot understand how to find it in my laptop. Please look here: https://postimg.cc/gallery/4JKC2w4

Do you have any ideas where to find this SSD in my laptop?

It will be part of the tablet as the 33 has the detachable keyboard. So take the keyboard off and look around the edge of the screen for covers or ports that would cover the ssd carrier. I shouldn;t have to say this but only remove the ssd when the machine is turned off.
CF-29 x 3 (Debian (Rugged) 11, FreeDOS 1.2, Windows 7)
CF-30 (Debian 11, Windows 10)
CF-31SBLAX1M (Debian 11, Windows 10)
CF-D1 (Debian 11, Windows 10, trying BlissOS)
Never give up, never surrender!

Thank you, Michael for your reply. I found the place where the quick-release ssd should be installed. But there is nothing there.
The computer works on Samsung M.2 2280 SATA SSD. But it is not installed in the place that is shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3_ThOCe8BY.
It is obvious that somebody removed out the quick-released SSD before I bought the laptop. Now I am thinking about how many SSD's can work in this laptop. It seems that two: quick-released SSD and M.2 2280 SATA SSD.
Now I have another task - to find where Samsung M.2 2280 SATA SSD is installed.

I'm checking on this for you. I'd bet my engineers know.

Also, MK1 is the 2280 M.2 Sata only but the MK2 is the smaller 2230 drive but it is NVME.

Thanks!
