Cf-19 mk 5

#1 Post by sakkara »

Hi guys not been here for a long time but just picked up a couple of used cf-19 mk 5 laptops

Does anyone know how to boot these machines to see if they still have the factory recovery partition ?

Or anyone know where I can get a ISO of the Panasonic install disks to use with the windows key ?

Thanks in advance

If you bought it from a reseller then my guess the HDD has been whiped clean. If you get the recovery disc (2) you won't need the COA on the bottom. It is different than the one that the recovery disk loads. Where do you live ? USA, Canada

I don't have a Toughbook near at the moment.
I think different models may call it by a different name.
If the partition is there, the menu item will be there. But most of the time, Ebay units have the entire drive wiped.

According to a manual....
Press F2 or Del while [Panasonic] boot screen is displayed.
The Setup Utility starts up.
If the password is requested, enter the Supervisor Password.
Select the [Exit] menu, then select [Recovery Partition] and press
Enter

I found a video for a CF 53. The CF19 should be very similar.

Could it be that no wireless card is installed? Government issue?

Take a peek at Concealed Mode Configuration on bios MAIN page also.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.
