Irfanview on Zorin
Irfanview on Zorin
I got it installed with Winetricks.
Now how do I make it the default to open all images?
No terminal voodoo please.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
Something like:
Right Click the image
[Open With]...choose your weapon
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Above for single images ....I'm looking up the other thing.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
Cross posting see if this helps. You get more applications going through [Properties]
Right Click Image of a type (png for instance)
Click Properties
Check Permissions (I have Owner and Group set up Read and Write)
Select Default for png.
Above from Zorin CF-53
FWIW I use Mirage for PNG, jpg.
There is another way, when I find it. This is the quick and dirty method.....generally done once for each file type.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
Irfanview does all images. Also it can edit and resize.
GIMP is loaded on Zorin and I do not like it at all.
I can try your suggestion tomorrow when I fire up the 53 again.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
For setting default applications.
All Settings (Click upper right of screen and gear)
Details
Default Applications
I was pretty sure Mirage does all images just wanted to check before inserting foot.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
Mirage does not look as powerful as Irfanview, but it does look easier than GIMP.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
The two lists are linked. Doing the first option adds your application to the system list.
Personally I use the quick and dirty as it requires less thinking and I can see what is happening.
This one:
Right Click Image of a type (png for instance)
Click Properties
Check Permissions (I have Owner and Group set up Read and Write)
Select Default for png. (Mirage)
All I care about is a quick resize or crop hence Mirage.

Re: Irfanview on Zorin
Most of the time that is all I need for editing. But once in a while I add some text.
I suppose I could just switch to a Windows machine for the more powerful and complicated tasks.
