Clear film on CF-18 screen?

#1 Post by crashomatic »

Noticed that I have a clear film on my screen... Non digitizer screen, anyone know if this is vital to the touchscreen working? Of if its just a screen protector of sorts? It has some marks in it from the previous owner and would like to be able to replace it if possible...

It's a protector.... I wouldn't take it off unless you have something to replace it with. The OEM Panasonic ones are VERY hard to put on. 3rd party ones are easier but you can see a ring of glue that holds them on on each side of the screen.

Thanks!
