So I've installed Windows XP onto a CF-19 Mk1 CHBAFBE and cannot get the touchscreen to work for the life of me :pat:

It's displaying in Device Manager as Fujitsu USB Input Device, the driver installs correctly however the touch input just does not work still.
I've been in the BIOS and it's showing as Internal LCD and NOT External Monitor before anyone suggests that.

Help, I'm stumped :(

What bios version?
I think xp and vista/win7 have a different bios for each of them.
Is there a setting in bios for tablet/touchscreen?

XP must show Touchscreen in bios.

If Fujitsu is showing on a MK1 it means Touchscreen in bios and a bad touch panel or circuit. It's like a CF-30 MK-1.

If the problem turns out to be where the FPC plugs into the TSPCB....re-set then tape it down.

Edit: F must equal a WWAN for Europe...it's not on the configurator for North America.

Shop for new touch panel, just in case. Fairly simple to fix the third time you do it.

The BIOS version is V1.00L16

No mention of the Touchscreen anywhere in the BIOS, I'm pretty sure it was working fine before I wiped it :pat:

What OS before you wiped it?

Linux LiveCD Mint 17 will show if the TS is working.

Is that model # the one from page 1(Main) of the bios? Sounds like the right bios.

:pat: The MK1 does not have the TS in bios. I stand corrected/reminded. :pat: That's why the bios and ec are changed from the registry.....and only the MK 1's of the CF-19 and CF-30.

If you had a tablet bios two hid items would show up under hid in device manager instead of Fujitsu.

You have the right BIOS now. I just checked my CF-19 MK1 and it has...
BIOS: V1.00L16
Embedded Controller: V1.00L11

The sound works great on mine with that BIOS. I will post a picture of my "device manager" so you can compare it to yours later on.

Touchscreen doesn't work in Linux Mint 17.0 on a Live CD :wtf:

What does this mean?
