Well... I bit the bullet and did a dual boot with Sidux and XP Pro. Sidux is very cool and very similar to XP in a lot of ways. I used Picoshark's guide (Thankyouverymuch!) on the NBR thread and is all went exactly like he said. Of course there are subtle differences between that build date and the one I downloaded as mine is 2 years newer almost. I installed the full version and after 4-5 hours of fumbling around I finally got it to update. I still have no wifi card. It will only recognize the NIC. I can't seem to get the wifi working. I downloaded the app it needs but can't get the install command to find it!

I'll be playing around with it more today. But first I mut change the oil in my wife's car and then a few other things.

Rick can you not just use the generic packages from a base red hat or ubuntu or mandrake to get the WIFI going?

How does Sidux differ from other Linux OS's... what type of desktop are you using? GNome or whatever the other one is called?
