Can I still use digi screen?

#1 Post by Silver Trooper »

I am working on a project CF-18 (MK4) that I just got through loading XP SP3 and all the other updates. Now that I have done that, I find I have a digitizer model, not a touch screen. With XP, not Tablet, installed, can I still use the digitizer pen? If so, best place to buy one? I really hope I don't have to go through reloading again....although it might not be a bad Windows 7 test bed!
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

Thanks Alex! I was hoping I still could...although I think I hear W7 calling my name!

trooper, The cheapest I have found digitizer pens is direct from Wacom. The factory original Panasonic pens are identical to the cheap basic Wacom pens. Only buy the "Penabled" pens, the others won't work!

I know this is a very old thread, but does anyone have a decent source for digitizer pens? Wacom no longer seems to make the older "penabled" pens and when you do find one, they are usually $40+. I can get new Panny pens for $35 shipped. Can anyone beat that deal?

I think these are the same as the ones I got. I PM the seller so when I find out I will post back. Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toshiba-Tablet- ... 35d85b5c60

This is the search I used http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... C&_sacat=0

There is no hole at the top of the pen for the tether but I think you know how to fix that.

I think I put up the different pens you could use in the CF-18 thread, just need your own hole in the toshiba pen. No tether hole.

(cut and paste from CF-18 thread)

PEN PART NUMBERS

Same as Wacom M200 will fit the digitizer slot, but no hole for the tether.

Also with out the tether hole is this PA3317U-2ETC Toshiba pen.
