Ok gentlemen.... I've opened a can of worms, and can't reel them in on my own so bear with me...

First question is: Is there a WWAN that works for Verizon for the CF-18?

Second question is: I saw on another forum that these power adaptors work on toughbooks... Can anyone confirm this would work with my CF-18?

Thanks for the help guys...

In most of our opinions that is one of the best ones you get. I usually buy them 5 to 6 at a time.

On the WWAN for the 18 I haven't tried a newer card (gobi 2000) in the newer style daughter board that had Mpci-e slot. All of the 19's have that slot standard. Read up on the CF-18 thread about the pros and cons of using a CF-19 daughter board in a CF-18.

Another option I haven't got to play with yet but would work for a internal mod is on ebay you can get a usb/mpci-e WWAN adapter. I haven't done a internal mod but other had done internal usb mods for the 18.

I dropped several different cards in it to try out. Gobi 1000/2000 and a few dell cards from older than that. They all showed up in device manager and the drivers loaded. I didn't have a sims card to try it out though.

I tried some regular wifi card cards in it as well. Non of them would show up, only WWAN cards.
