New Member and lots of questions.

#1 Post by Metricquartz »

Hello all, I just found this great site and needed to join to get some help and info for my recent Ebay purchase.
I picked up one of those CF-18BDAZXMM from supersavingssurplus it was in fantastic condition.
Since the hard drive was reformatted I sent the drive to Heartland for $35.00 to reinstall the factory image.
I would have rather had the discs to purchase but they said that they were not available anymore.
I am having a problem trying to create a set of back up discs with a external DVD writer by Gearhead.
It uses two USB slots. I do not have enough knowledge to get that done, any help would be appreciated.
Also should I upgrade the Windows service pack? It has version 1 at this point.
Thanks

Windows XP Service Pack 3 is a MUST. Trying to find these DIGITIZER recovery discs will proove to be quite difficult. I just checked our archive and we don't have them :(.

This is a MARK 1 digitizer model.

Thanks

and you only have 1 USB in your 18. You will need something like these http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trkparm ... p=15&_sc=1 but most of us use these external cd burners, uses only 1 usb http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Panasonic-C ... 20c160dc80. If you look around you can find them cheaper What I us is Acronis True Image Home for all my back ups.
