Weird!

Update again:

So the electric companies subcontractor decided to barrel though my backyard with a giant 4 track backhoe/trencher and run over the un-burried fiber line... :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: When I confronted him about it he claims he didn't see the giant black cable or the orange paint marking it. I have ATT coming out now to verify that it's not damaged. It works for now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I just can't win :(

In better news: The virus scan took almost all night and came back clean! :)

Thanks!

I've gotten false positives from sucuri before, but in your case it is complaining about SEO spam. It may not necessarily mean that files on this site were modified, it could be a post somewhere in the forum. It's rather specific so you should be able to search for php and html file contents as well as the database for posts.

Keep in mind that antivirus software rarely detects website security issues like php shells, spam mailers or obfuscated code. When I first joined this forum, I suggested using maldet ( https://www.rfxn.com/projects/linux-malware-detect/ ) but since you're running a Windows server it is possible to use their definition files with Clamwin antivirus.

Shawn, can you remove that code from the forum please? It isn't helping with those online scanners if it shows up in plain text in a post.

I can remove it, but I think posting it as code prevents those issues.

It's impossible to know at the moment if online scanners ignore text that's wrapped in

Code: Select all

[ /code] so, in my opinion, it's better to err on the side of caution.
