1AM update:

I've been working on this for 10 hours straight and need to go to bed! I removed everything and rebooted the server and a TON of it's back again...

The FTP server is still disabled for the time being and the firewall firmware is updated.

I'm starting to lose hope.

Thanks!

Rob,
I have the solution..
Another site I frequent just upgraded to XenForo software. :pat: I must admit I did not think it was going to work. But all of their problems went away. It's running perfectly, just as promised. Site membership is on the rise....Happy days are here again........
Moral of story is..It could be ALOT worse.......

Anyone have a tip to remove egg from your face?

Use a very large spatula and a jackhammer.

Seriously though, we'll get through this.

Update this morning:

I let the scan run all night on the ENTIRE websites directory which consists of many websites (Including toughwiki.com) and we're still BADLY infected - ESPECIALLY on Toughwiki.com! I will spend the day getting through this.

I will not stop until the devil begs for forgiveness!!!!!!! :)

I feel great after sleeping 5 hours and can conquer all today! :)

5PM update:

I think I kicked its ass! I had to change the SQL database username and password too.

Overall the site is loading TONS faster for me on the LOCAL LAN. It used to always have a 3 - 5 second delay from the local LAN, I guess I just got used to it so I thought nothing of it. It's MEGA fast now!

Still working on toughwiki.com but that's pretty much cleaned up too and running faster as well.

The downloads section I also totally re-did and it's also loading fast again.

I WILL PREVAIL DAMNIT!!!!!!! :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway: :blowaway:

Scanning again and will hit it again tonight! :)

Update:

Performing another FULL scan of all websites. Once that's done I'll scan the entire server, reboot and scan again.

Only after ALL of that is done will the FTP be re-enabled. Once the FTP is re-enabled I will PM each one of you your new credentials to get into it to upload information.

After we stabilize out for a little bit I'll try to get the cloud server back up and running. 5.0.13 was the version we were running over 2 years ago and 8.0.2 is what is new now so I'll have to play around with it a little bit to get it going.

Thanks!

Rob,
I think I speak for pretty much everyone here when I say thank you for all you do to make this site possible. I know it is a passion of yours as well, but we really do appreciate the daily efforts (and sometimes headaches).

And yes, it is tons faster!
