NOW THIS IS INTERESTING: CF-29 CLASSIC CNKGSKM

#1 Post by SHEEPMAN! »

So I was answering a question about CF-29 Bios.....grabbed a 29 off the shelf and lo and behold the handle was tight!

In due course I noticed GPS in the bios. This thing was hardly used. Oh maybe a couple thousand hours....who knows? Long enough to tear off the power door is all.
One dimple on the bottom where the sheet protector dimpled into a factory hole. No scratches, working touchscreen and like zero touchpad wear.

It's running Mint18 Mate as we speak. Original Panasonic screen protector with no scratches. OOPS THIS IS WRONG....IN THE DAYLIGHT THE SCREEN PROTECTOR SHOWS USE.

I'm a gonna see if .wine will run the Panny GPS.

I'll probably call it "Squirrel".

Interesting COA. XP Professional 1-2CPU???

Looks like the only mod is a Backlit chiclet keyboard. (Came with rubber.)

What? Did you see what time I posted this?

It's really cool. Has a round keyboard plug thing instead of a pesky USB in the rear. (PS/2)(It won't boot from USB anyway) :)

With a PlopLinux disk in the floppy drive it will boot from USB though.

Dual docking connectors. Now where's my coke machine dock?

My clock says 4:11am

CF29 mk1 and maybe mk2 had the PS/2 rear port. Later on they dropped the PS/2 for a USB.

Dual dock ports? odd

Is that to plug a Coke machine into the Toughbook or the Toughbook into a Coke machine.

Wonder if they make boots with usb ports? ooohhh squirrel woof woof

Who ya calling crazy?

I had to stay up to see how my "normal" schedule affected the batteries. 25.4V when I went to bed. I may buy a toaster. I think I had one in 1995.

What's worse...a jumpy mouse or a squirrel. Turns out the drive is dual boot XP. Taking a coffee break.

Where's those extension cables Shawn sent me. Some of the newer USB sticks won't fit in the USB door. Hmmm I think they are over there ------------>

This is one of those serious but funny threads. :)

O.K. Shawn it's the dock that I replaced the lock with a coke machine lock-set and key.

Tinker.

Added it's
