The pictures are nice but WAAAAAY too big.

The size you want is where it can be read/seen on a 13.5 screen without side scrolling. Can you please edit your post and re-size. 800x600 maximum....

Thanks

UPDATE - I thought that I would rebuild the machine as I didn't want to lose any bits while it sat around my house and thought that I would try the installation one more time. It successfully formatted the disc and I am currently on 39% of the installation of the recovery disc for XP. Don't ask me how, but fingers crossed! !!!

Do you have a sata to ide converter in the drive?

Most phones have a setting somewhere.

What operating system are you using? Maybe I can suggest a resizer.

You're not typing these nice posts on the phone are you? :pat:

Sometimes it takes two boots to get things going.

Touchscreen:
Does it appear in bios? This would mean the machine sees the TS and the Touch Panel is de-laminated.

Send me a picture of your device manager with mouse expanded.

In C: do you have a \util directory?

Don't just throw drivers at it....it's probably hardware (the touch panel).

I just checked and yes it appears as ACTIVE in bios. If I search UTIL in C: it shows a Utility Manager and a UTIL file ? I will post a picture now but I am having problems uploading them and it will appear MASSIVE so you might have to click on the "show image" to view it correctly

This is the one and only touchpad/touchscreen driver. If you have /util you have this already.

I usually check touchscreens with a non-pae Linux stick or in your case a CD/ROM. No USB in boot order.

Your picture is correct. It's huge again, does your big boys computer run W7?

Do a search for image-resizer. Install. Copy from phone to big boy. If you find the right resizer it should show up in right click menu.
