I'll look around and see if I can find any more spare batts and 8.0 supplies. Wonder what shipping would be like?

To Ireland, roughly $25...Problem is, that it is illegal to ship lithium battery internationally via USPS

Thought that was unless it's in a machine .

Lithium Batteries Collapse FAQ question

Only lithium cells and batteries that are properly installed in the equipment they are intended to operate may be sent internationally or to APO/FPO/DPO locations if not restricted or prohibited by the destination country. Lithium batteries packed with, but not installed in, equipment and lithium batteries sent separate from equipment are prohibited. Damaged or recalled batteries are prohibited and may not be mailed internationally under any circumstances.

You are correct, But I did not think that you were going to send him an entire machine. That will cost $75 in shipping.

Firstly, thank you all so very much for your help and offers :salute:

I have stripped the machine down (maybe a bit too much lol) and have took lots of pictures for you which I will upload in a wee minute to show you to see if they help. I have noticed that someone has put a make shift mother board battery in and if i recall correctly, the BIOS time was at 00:00 when I was flicking through the settings and didnt think much about it. I have also noticed that there is a small scratch that I can feel with my finger in one of the wiring looms from the main HDD.
