Read in previous post where recovery disk for cf-29 ISO uploaded and then put in private download area. How do I access private download area? Also read in the public download site is the complete set of CF-29 drivers on one disk that covers all MK versions.Couldn't find this either. Purchased cf29 from TB a few months back. Just thought it would be nice to have restore disk but to tell the truth don't really need them just wanted them.Cf-29C3KGZDM.

That’s quite strange

In all his listings that I have seen he includes the disks

He also tweaks his software loads as well
He won't share that info with anyone

Reinstallation of software is unusual these days, xp is a great o/s
My advice is if you are upgrading your hard drive that you clone your hard drive
Here is the link to the complete cf29 drivers provided by forum member Doobi

If you need disks you can PM me and I can see if I can send you the disks

We don't allow general access to the private downloads area under any circumstances , as senior members have listed special tricks and tweaks that we don’t want eBay sellers or even Panasonic getting their hands on

As far I know the recovery disk of non touchscreen unit is not the same as the touchscreen unit. I swapped the lcd of non touchscreen unit to the touch..n model and when I load the recovery disk it read the first disk but when you load the second disk it will give error and you can't continue installing the OS. Best bet is to load an OEM xp and then load the drivers manually.

Good point Teo

I have models that will not restore with the normal disks because of its configuration
You might have one of those

Teo has a Black case cf-29 that will not restore with the disks we have
A special model used by the military

If you need help,PM me and I would be happy to fix you up
No Problem

Thanks guys...yeah TB said use XP OEM and install drivers, also I believe he said this one may have come with 2000 on it originally.Cloning hard drive is an excellent idea ,believe I'll try that. Just wanted to have some sort of backup just in case. I don't work for panasonic and don't sell on Ebay..so how long does it take to become senior member so you can access private downloads. I am always interested in tips and tweaks for my stuff???

Just ask questions about basically anything you are interested in
The people on the forum would be happy to help answer your questions

A lot of what we talk about in the private area has to do with pricing trends of interest to those of us that don’t just buy one cf-29, but three or so at a time

If and when you do a fresh load on your cf-29 ,let us know and as I said before we are here to help

I also have alot of software for different models but Rob has not transferred them to the public site yet. I am sure he will let us all know when he does.
