CF-29 Recovery Software needed

#1 Post by Bombdocbob »

Can any one help me to find the recovery disc's for a CF-29 Model CF-29L3LGWBM. This laptop was originally bought from Bakersfield PD, and I have contacted them and they don't have it. I have contacted Panasonic and their response is that WE ONLY GIVE IT AWAY WHEN WE SELL THE LAPTOP. I have been watching EBAY, but not a lot of luck their. My last resort is to down load the driver's from Panasonic, but I really don't want to do that with me going to Iraq "Less is Better".

Thank you,

Bob

I have seen them lately on Ebay for $65-90 on discs. If you speak nicely, someone on this forum might be able to help you out. :salute:
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

BTW, to which EOD unit are you attached? When do you ship out?

I'm not sure on this but some of the PD toughbooks had really strange restore software disks
A lot of the cf-29's that Dan was selling would not restore with the normal restore disks, it was only possible with a oem xppro disk and drivers
Can you post the DFQX number that is on the bottom of your cf-29 as it will give me info on the correct disks needed
I have a set of new disks that restore mark 4's and the part number is DFQX3894MA ,if that number is listed on you COA , these are the correct disks

Also, I just finished uploading a bunch of restore disk ISO's, some of which are for the CF-29 series. As soon as Rob is finished transferring them to the public download area, he will let us know and you can see if one of those will suit your needs. In addition, already in the public download site is the complete set of CF-29 drivers on one disk that covers all MK versions. This might also help you if no restore disk exists for your special system.

Okay the files are pushed live. They are in the private downloads area as I can't let the public have access to these CD's. Paul, I'm going to leave them on your FTP for now just in case we have any issues.

I don't know what would be missing... I just host them, I don't use them... :reallysad:

Paul, any ideas?!?!?! :swords:

Also, would it even make sense to have the SAME exact CD's twice? or are they not the same?

Thanks
