You will need a external cd-rom if you don't have a cd-rom caddy in your 29. Not sure if you know or not but the recovery disks are a image of the harddrive when it left the factory. You can get them for $40-$50 which is a good buy since they were about $75.00 a year ago.

well, first off. im shocked over it ruggedness.. its like no other thing i`ve tested. i swear i could use it as a crowbar if needed..

firstly the touchscreen did not work, so i googled alot and came to the conclusion that i needed to break it down. so completely took apart the lcd, cleaned and checked connections. voila, it worked again! hurray.. :)

other than that i`ve just installed updates like crazy. cant wait to get it up to date and get to use it in the garage, not worry about dust, metal spoon from the lathe etc. :)

but i wondered, when the wonderful TB is up to date with everything and i am happy with its configuration with essentials. how can i make a complete image of the hdd?

so when i want to upgrade the hdd, i could just copy the image over to the new hdd and be up and running.. any pointers here?

I find this is the best out ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE HOME Any of the older ones should work for you but will not work on W7 machines.Check it out
norway ebay - http://search.eim.ebay.no/?kw=ACRONIS+T ... ep=1&es=21
and USA - http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=ACR ... m270.l1313
I paid about $20.00 USA money for the 2010 one. It's easy to use...I just used it on my GoBook the other day. I bought one 2 weeks ago and did all the updates then put my other harddrive in a external harddrive case and made a image of it then bought another GoBook and when it came I just dropped the harddrive in the caddy and I was up and running in 2 minutes :) . Not sure what it cost over on your side but it is well worth it. At one time they did have a 30 day trial. I will check

It does everything for you, If you go to "Tools & Utilites" and click on clone disk. Thats what I do if I have 2 the same laptops, saves me the trouble of installing the OS and downloading all the updates twice.
