What the... Eeeeh, I guess I didn't get the memo about your name change! :lauging:

Anyway,. this is my line of thinking. Use lshw or some other utility to identify the hardware involved, then hope to find a kernel module to enable it. As far as I know, most of these are ACPI.

I've been all over the place on this and it's a little hard since I don't own a MK6. :)

Let me check my PM, Shawn and I had some stuff in there....

Something Shawn found:
https://github.com/victorenator/als/arc ... .zip###hot link yields this:

Permission denied is a signal that systemd got involved.

Systemd does that with Gobi cards is where I learned this.

What to do with ALS is beyond me at this point.

Good post Shawn.

From a NBR PM of mine.
From terminal: systemctl stop gpsd.socket
Releases systemd hold on Gobi cards so Gobi GPS works. THIS JUST FOR INFORMATION. There is a little more to it then that. :)

Looks like the results of a find command run as a user and not as root or sudo'ed.

To the OP, have you had any trouble compiling https://github.com/danieleds/Asus-Zenbo ... Controller or https://github.com/victorenator/als/archive/master.zip ? The latter being one that also showed up in my searches, as well as Shawn's.

Sorry it took so long in getting back to yall the weather broke and work went nuts. I did not have any luck, the Asus controller broke my mint somehow. I no longer have sound or any control over the screen brightness, the buttons on the front work and show a Lil box on screen but no matter what setting the back light is off so I can barely read it. I may trash this install and start over now that I know a Lil more, I probably did something dumb most likely this or the auto screen rotation I was trying with the gps lol if it has accelerometer and gyroscope why not use them.
