O.K. Touch 101 is indicated. And this is for MINT.

Code:
sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration .conf
sudo rm /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf

IGNORE file not found errors for now.
X11 is a capital X
We are removing previous 99-calibration.conf files because I am seeing a out of range situation....it happens every time you switch from touch to tablet in the bios....and yes does it on W7 so therefore W10 also. (THIS IS NOT TO FIX THAT (WINDOWS)

REBOOT

Assuming updates are installed then install xinput-calibrate from Synaptics package manager.

Run calibration. You should be a lot closer.
Run calibration again.....it should be nearly correct.
That's right I run it twice for finer adjustment.

Then save the calibration settings like this.

Copy the settings calibration wrote in the terminal.
Open a second terminal and:
sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf
PASTE the settings that you copied. (from the other terminal)(both terminals are open)
ctrl x
answer yes
hit enter to save.

What we did.
Deleted previous calibration settings and their files (if any).
Installed xinput-calibrate
Ran calibration twice.
Saved the second set to /usr/share/X11 etc.

So mess with this for a while and call for help if needed. This information is all over the Linux forum here. (TBT) Maybe not all that clear 'cause I wrote it. :)

This missive was interrupted by feeding time for the animals....so is probably a bit erratic.

Hey! The video was very helpful. Thanks.

Chow

Same issue as before on the one that touch is working, I can hit the first spot but after that, no more clicking on anything and 2nd spot times out.

My apologizes if I'm just being a complete noob with this.

Did you check the cable? Requires removing the lid.

On the CF-19 they went to the slider type connector...flimsy in my mind. The reason it is taped down so hard. If somebody has been "in there" there is no telling if is connected right. Additionally unplugging re-plugging cables from mobo cleans the connection.

Honestly I am not sure if the touch controller is on the mobo. Which means if the mobo is correct then the kernel thinks it's good. TSPCB and/or touch panel could be bad.

Did you get calibration installed? My quick way to check menu for this is to tap super key then type ca...calibration should be at the top of the list.

Send me contents of 99-calibration.conf #cut and paste here from text editor.

This from a CF-52
Quote:
Code:
Section "InputClass"
   Identifier   "calibration"
MatchProduct   "Fujitsu Component USB Touch Panel"
   Option   "Calibration"   "265 3907 265 3922"
EndSection

Those hid entries are what you would see in device manager on W7. Under the HID tab.

Sorry I don't say please every time...always inferred. :D
