Shawn, sorry about your woes, I've had them before, and because I don't know linux too well, I just ran a restore of my system to wipe all the problems and get back to where i was before. I do NOT like dual boots and do NOT recommend them to people. I can offer to send you another 52 drive and caddy to get you up and running if needed. Let me know.

Kris,
Thanks for the offer, But I got it running by deleting the new partition I had created.
That restored the needed drive letters.

I found this software... I will try to remove grub and restore the win7 bootloader..Then delete the Linux partitions
Easy BCD...Looks interesting...https://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/

Probably make a Acronis backup first.
Yes..Now I agree..Dual boot is asking for problems..
I won't do this again...Next time I will keep each OS on a separate drive...
Life will beat you into submission.

Because I don't know any better I have always loaded the M$ product first, done the updates and then let the Linux product do it's thing of setting partitions and all. I'm used to grub so it doesn't bother me.

Just saying.

Maybe if I still have M$ around I may try a dual boot from there someday.

The only thing I ever had trouble with was a triple boot with pure DOS. Linux won't write it to grub. Read until my head hurt and ignored the 500MB partition after that.

I dual boot now with two drives.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.

I uploaded a Linux magazine that tells how to setup triple boot. It should be in my folder on the public server, if you are interested. :)
